To Ink or Not to Ink | 3/28/2025

That is the question I say! Welcome to friday, and will no longer do friday. Let's see what I've doing:

So I've done some five more pages for the tree comic, since it was awfully shoddy when I was doing the hobbies while balancing with own life. Actually I've been having a hard time with traditional inking lately. You can check it out right here.

Now, for the shenanigans: I'm now experimenting with digital inking.

Been starting to feel the limitations of the dip pen and such since I've accidentally slip a rubber seal of the ink bottle and messed up my page (Page 15, you can see some erasure of the ink around there somewhere). I've actually have experience with digital arts and my long gone drawings buried within my memory. So I can simply just scan the drawing outline sketch and ink it directly with my own Huion HS610 (Seen at blog's thumbnail) rather than "Prepare thyself for the physical ink upon ye hands." dip pens.

Lately I've learn more about drawing shapes by an art youtuber Porko, now I'm starting to draw shapes properly since now I'm using the eraser as often. Including another one, which is doing proper sketches instead of leaving the outlines of the drawings. It actually gets easier because of that, why haven't I thought of doing the sketches before the inking really?

So by now you might see the last page of The Tree Part 3 being looking weird. In fact this is actually me going back to the digital roots and inking that thing. FireAlpaca software is the goat of this, now I won't need to use GIMP for the editing since they sort of got the essentials ready. Now that's radical.

What I've been doing right now is a busy week. I've started to learn more about C++'s data structure after failing to understand leetcode's two sum problem. I guess I'm not going to the FANG companies anytime soon.

Been doing good with the recorder. learned how to blow softly though and soft of getting an idea on what note should I play in what common patterns of the recorder windways of something. I probably need to find some music though, yet I'm stumped right now.

And now, I got a bluesky account, It is very indeed blue though so I might forget that I don't do social media thing though. Pretty much that I can say why is that I got bored, Yes I am. It can get pretty lonely on the internet sometimes, so I'm planning to have some connections to people.

And that's all there's too it, It is a hasty blog to write and I don't get to do proofreading. I decided to move the updating schedule from friday to saturday, reason because I do need to take a rest from thursday and then I do my hobbies at friday till sunday. So for now, see you on next week's saturday!
